Business Continuity Manager

We are working with a global manufacturing firm who are increasing their cyber resilience posture and as such, are looking for an experience Business Continuity Manager to work with the leadership team to identify and address risks to the continuity of services.  This is a global organisation with sites internationally, so some travel is expected in this role and in particular, ad hoc travel to the United States.

The BCM Manager must be fluent in German and should be a strong communicator. The BCM Manager position requires a visionary leader with sound knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of information security technologies.

Responsibilities

  • The BCM Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate wide business continuity program to ensure that entails IT and OT systems.
  • This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the enterprise.
  • The BCM Manager will proactively work with business units to implement practices that meet defined policies and standards for information security.
  • The BCM Manager is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing the Company’s business continuity program.
  • The manager will support all business plan activities necessary to enable the Organization to manage a crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for BCP planning. The position’s primary goals will be to Identify, document and test business needs against the Company infrastructure and identify recovery strategies and gaps.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish up-to-date information security policies, standards, and guidelines. Oversee the approval, training, and dissemination of security policies and practices.

Criteria

  • Experienced in a business continuity / business resilience capacity
  • An appreciation for the risks associated with manufacturing and production
  • Fluent in Germany
  • Willingness to travel internationally
