Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas, USA

Salary: $120000 - $140,000

Contract Type: Permanent

The Security Cloud Engineer forms part of the Security Engineering team and is primarily responsible for building and maintaining a cloud environment for hosting security tools and for maintaining the cloud security tools that are used to secure production clouds. This is a proactive role, and the successful candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as a desire to learn new technologies.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the Security Cloud Engineer will also work closely with other members of the Security Engineering team to develop and implement security solutions for the organization. The role will also involve working with other IT teams, such as Infrastructure and Development, to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the organization’s IT operations.

The Security Cloud Engineer will play a critical role in protecting the organization’s data and systems from cyber threats. The role will involve working on a variety of challenging and innovative projects, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the security of the organization.



Building and maintaining Cybersecurity components in the cloud

Implement security policies, procedures, and standards in line with the service scope

Complete security operations tasks, such as security reviews and remediation activities

Contribute to the design and validation of cloud solutions from a security perspective

Drive best practices within teams with respect to security standards and guidelines

Drive automation in the security area, including developing automation code/scripts

Participation in projects related to Cloud Security products/services/solutions

Supervising trends and latest issues related to the domain of conducted projects


Qualifications / Experience

Thorough understanding of OWASP Top 10.

Experience in securing CI/CD pipelines.

Good understanding and experience of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle framework, (SDLC).

One or more cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
