Operational Resilience Manager

Bestman Solutions is delighted to be supporting a leading UK insurance organisation in the appointment of an experienced Operational Resilience Manager.

The Role

This is a key role within the Risk function, responsible for enhancing the firm’s operational resilience capability and ensuring it continues to meet evolving regulatory expectations.

Working across Risk, Technology, Operations and Business Functions, you’ll help embed resilience practices, coordinate scenario testing and support the ongoing protection of important business services.

The successful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively with senior stakeholders while driving continuous improvements across resilience and business continuity activities.

You will:

• Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of the Operational Resilience Framework.
• Support the identification, mapping and governance of Important Business Services.
• Coordinate scenario testing and resilience exercises across the organisation.
• Monitor resilience risks and recommend improvements to existing controls.
• Work closely with Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance teams to strengthen organisational resilience.
• Support business continuity planning and incident response activities.
• Prepare reports and management information for governance committees and senior leadership.
• Ensure resilience documentation remains aligned with current regulatory expectations.
• Promote a culture of resilience and continuous improvement across the business.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Experience delivering Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or Enterprise Risk programmes within the insurance sector.
• Good understanding of UK regulatory expectations relating to operational resilience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions.
• Experience facilitating resilience testing and exercising.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• A pragmatic approach with the ability to balance governance with commercial priorities.
