On Friday 30th January 2026, the cybersecurity community gathered once again at the Royal Lancaster Hotel for the 21st White Hat Ball, marking more than two decades of fundraising.
This year’s event delivered a remarkable result. £556,414 was raised for NSPCC Childline, helping ensure that children and young people across the UK continue to have access to confidential, life-changing support when they need it most.
A Night Built on Purpose
The White Hat Ball has long been a fixture in the information and cybersecurity calendar, not simply as a social highlight, but as a reminder of what this community can achieve together.
Guests enjoyed a drinks reception, a three-course dinner, live entertainment, and a highly anticipated auction featuring exceptional experiences. Throughout the evening, the focus remained clear: coming together to support a service that listens to children every day.
Why Childline Matters
Childline provides free, confidential support to anyone under the age of 19 in the UK. Every call answered represents a young person reaching out for help, reassurance, or guidance. The funds raised through the White Hat Ball directly contribute to keeping that service available, accessible, and responsive.
Over 20 Years of Impact
White Hat began over 20 years ago when a group of security and risk professionals decided to use their network to give something back. What started as a single event has grown into a programme of fundraising initiatives, including the annual White Hat Ball, the White Hat London Marathon, and industry-led events throughout the year.
To date, the White Hat Events Committee has now raised more than £2.5 million for charity, a milestone that reflects both longevity and commitment.
Looking Ahead
The 2026 White Hat Ball was a powerful example of what happens when an industry aligns around a shared cause. At Bestman Solutions, we are proud to support and attend events that reflect the values of our community and the people within it.
